Spring in France this year was 5 degrees colder than normal. It seems that the same is true here at home. I am still wearing a heavy coat, just as I did in France. So what effect will this have on the vines? It may cause them to flower later than usual and thus, harvest may be late if the cool temps continue. Only time will tell.
Chateau Yquem is in Sauternes, just around the corner from Chateau Jouvente, my French brother's vineyard.
