There is this beautiful photo by Imogen Cunningham of a magnolia blossom that I have long admired. It is so delicate and perfect. The center of the flower is so detailed, you can almost touch it. I was thinking of this piece when playing with the camera one evening. It isn't a magnolia, but I like how the petals are arranged. It's as if the petals are hiding something precious inside and they are willing to give you just a glimpse if you show proper respect. They are like fingers joined, ready for meditation.
