I never take pictures of birds. In general, I don't find them interesting. But this guy was sitting there, haming it up. So my friend encouraged me to snap the photo. And since it was new years, and we should try something new at new years, I took the shot. I post it because I am amazed at the color and the contrast. Also, Point Lobos is a place rich with wildlife. And he is a beautiful bird.
